ADVICE
Storing your caravan/motorhome
- Please ensure that you close all windows/roof vents and close and lock any doors
- Ensure that the gas cylinder is turned off and that the gas locker is locked shut
- Remove all food and perishable items and leave your fridge door open
- Empty all waste bins
- Please ensure the unit is displaying a registration number and that we have your contact details
Additional Winter Precautions
- Drain the water system and leave all taps open to prevent frost damage, close all water inlets and outlets to prevent and bugs or insects from entering
- Drain the toilet flush and empty and rinse out your toilet
- Remove your leisure battery and take it home, periodically use a battery charger to keep it topped up, alternatively you can leave it on your unit but it is advisable to disconnect the battery terminals
- Do NOT block any of the air vents in your cupboards, air circulation is vital to prevent dampness
- Bedding, towels, clothes and sleeping bags etc should ideally be taken home
- Remove any batteries from smoke detectors and replace them for the next season
- Apply a coat of wintering fluid to the outside of the caravan, this will give a good protection over the winter and make it easier to clean for the next season
- Winter covers are welcome as long as they are the correct fit and secured
